Gaetano started Kindergarten and he's doing great so far. Its been a lot of fun watching him learn. So I started a Homework gallery to show off some of his work. This week's work included memorizing a poem about apples and illustrating it.
When times are tough, I just have to remember the positives and I know I'll pull through... :-)

There's been a siting; Eric spotted this ad of me on slashdot.org, which is new to the collection. Have you spotted me in an ad online somewhere else?
With all this "fame", you'd think there'd be fortune. Ha! Seems these days its more like misfortune...
First my car died. (I've no idea what's wrong with it yet other than it won't start and inside it smells like gasoline.) Then the bathroom sink leaked badly enough to ruin the vanity so that it will need to be replaced. (Luckily the cheap particle board inside it soaked up all the water that there wasn't any floor damage.) This morning we discovered that the washer is leaking and will cost $189 to fix. A bunch of medical bills arrived (you don't want to know how much) along with a $1320 estimate for dental work that's badly needed.
That's not to mention all the other things that are not directly related to money that have been going on lately. September has been a really stressful month for me to say the least.
I just had a crazy idea. Perhaps since I have a page devoted to my "fame", I should have one devoted to my (lack of) fortune. I suppose it can't hurt... It may not even help; not like it'll make me rich!
I'll keep working hard as usual...

Actually, I thought the ads with your picture were just stock photography, so Google to the rescue. You're REAL. Shocking. The fact you're not being compensated for that is suboptimal. At least your'e cute as a button. Keep workin' hard. :)
That's too funny. Yes, I'm real (and I suppose the people in stock photography are too although I know what you mean). To be perfectly honest that photo isn't totally "real" though. The original was taken by Laurie Casolino at TODCON 2002 and it had a bunch of red-eye that I fixed with Fireworks. It also had an entirely different background which included Dan in it and a few harsh shaddows.
Regardless, it is certainly suboptimal (especially given recent events) that I'm not being compensated with money. Hopefully it pays off in other ways that lead to some. ;-)
Wow, it just hit me that the photo is 3 years old now. I guess it is time for a new one!
Thanks for the kind words. Say hello at MAX (assuming you'll be there). ~Angela
