If you haven't made the switch from Freehand to Illustrator yet because you've been putting off learning a different application, there's help. Today lynda.com released Migrating from Freehand to Illustrator. There are a few free movies you can check out, but to get them all you'll need to subscribe to the lynda.com Online Training Library™ because this title is an exclusive; there won't be a CD.

fwiw, Adobe's FAQ claims that Freehand is / will be supported and developed. Common sense says Adobe won't maintain 2 drawing apps indefinitely, but, well, just sayin'.

Thanks Lars. It seems a fair guess to assume that Illustrator will eventually replace Freehand. It just makes a lot of sense. ~Angela

A shameless plug. Oh wait, that's Dan! ;-)
Lol... Dan and I have been working for lynda.com for awhile now, so yeah it is a shameless plug to some degree. ~Angela
