Slackers

Hmmm just noticed my buddies with blogs are slackin'... no new post in a few days. I suppose it may be because Danilo isn't around to harrass us about it ;-). Speaking of Danilo, he should be back already. Can't wait to see his Hawaii pics!

Features...

I've added one feature of the two fully and it is working great for me. As for the second feature, I'm not really sure it is worth my time. I still need to do some research to be sure though. I am now contemplating releasing it with the single extra feature only, but will get more beta feedback first on the second feature. So far feedback has indicated that the second feature, though cool, isn't that important. I'll ask a few more people to test and see what they think and go from there.

Development

I talked it over with the other developer, and he doesn't mind if I add features to my extension and sell it. He's decided to let his out for free and not develop it further since I am doing so. I've started adding one new feature already and have a story board for how the other should work. Now I just have to figure out how to code it all!

New newphew

Brandon Nicholas Parada was born at 6:57 PM today. He weighs 7 pounds 14 ounces and looks very much like his older brother did when he was born. Antonietta was given Pitocin at 11:30 AM to start her labor and her water was broken by the doctor at 2 PM. By 5:30 PM she was only dialated to 4cm so we thought we'd have a really long wait. She had pain medication via IV but refused epidural. When she hit about 6 1/2cm she decided to go for the epidural, but by the time the doctor came in to do it, she was already almost 9cm so it was too late. Her first child was born with about 3 pushes but this one didn't want to make it easy for her so he made her push about 10 times. She screamed quite a bit and feels like she's losing her voice, but is doing great now that the baby is out of her belly. No more pain and no incision. Big Brother Brian says that when they get home he's going to give his brother candy and play baseball with him. So cute! This makes the count 3 nephews and 1 niece. Hopefully somebody evens that up a bit...:-)

Labor progress

Well folks, she's at the hospital now and labor should be in progress. I'm off to wait in the hospital cafeteria until they let us see her. I'll give all the details when I get home later tonight. Bye!

Waiting for baby

1 out of 2 ain't bad. Angels won the World Series, but my sister-in-law didn't have the baby. Tomorrow they'll induce her labor, so I'll bring the laptop to the hospital and work while I wait. No internet conection though, but that's alright.

Same thing

Well there goes my idea! I asked a friend for input on possible causes for a global variable issue I was having. So I told him what my extension was and he had done the same thing already. He plans to release his next week along with others. So, sorry folks this one isn't getting released publicly. I'll think of something else though. I already have a few ideas brewing...

Double Celebration

Two reasons to celebrate today: Dan's Birthday and the Anaheim Angels won tonight. Tomorrow is game 7 of the World Series. I suspect my sister-in-law will have the baby around the ninth inning tomorrow making it a very exciting day... We'll see!

Meanwhile, I'll be coding away at my next extension. It has just one bug that I'm fighting and once I get that settled off it goes to beta. If you hand-code your CSS in Dreamweaver you're going to love this! More clues as I near beta :-)...

Overdue

My sister-in-law still hasn't had the baby! If she doesn't go into labor and have the baby this weekend, they'll induce labor on Monday.

Template-Lover's Suite Upgrade

Phew, I did it! I finally released the upgrade to the Template-Lover's Suite. Originally I planned to add only 3 new objects, but of course my beta testers asked for more. Ask and ye shall receive (this time at least)! I have another extension in the works and lots of other good things going on to keep me busy. As always, this is the place to keep up with what's going on in my life... stay tuned!

Opera baby

Laurie just sent me a hysterical link to a flash movie that she found. I have to say I can relate as both a mom, and part Italian. :-)

Aunty Angela

I'm going to be an aunty again... like today maybe even. My husband's sister Antonietta and her husband Brian are expecting their second son. She is due on October 26th, which happens to be her father's birthday. (My father-in-law passed away 5 years ago. That's who we named our son after.) Anyhow, Antonietta saw the doctor this morning and the baby is about 8 1/2 lbs. so the doctor advised she take castor oil today. Last time she took castor oil, about 6 hours later she had the baby. She plans to take it at about 3:30 pm today. So if I'm not around, I'll be at the hospital...waiting.

Danilo's Wedding

Sorry ladies, Danilo is officially married. He's even sent me pictures to proove it and has given me permission to share them with you. (I was a little lazy and used the Web Photo Album 2 extension with a pre-made template so don't look at the source code ;-).) Danilo will be back in town next weekend - hopefully with pictures of their trip to Hawaii. Congratulations Danilo and Melissa!

Screenshots

Ok, before I go, I had to take a few screenshots of the formats to show you. This is the current (and likely final) layout for all the menu options in the DWfaq Date/Time Formats menu. Here's what the Edit Formats List looks like with the editable DWfaq Formats listed. Last but not least, here is a sample of one of the dialogs used to make your own variations of the DWfaq Date/Time formats. Okay, now I'm really leaving...

Ready for beta

Server Formats are all done. I just need to make the final MXP and get it into Beta. I'll do that soon as I get back from shopping. Yep, I'm playing hookie from work for a few hours to spend time shopping and have dinner with my son and husband. Of course when I get in I'll get back to work as always.

2 year anniversary

You're going to have to take my word for it on this folks, but it has been 2 years since I first posted on the Dreamweaver newsgroup. How do I remember this? Well, last year I looked it up shortly before TODCON. TODCON happened to fall on the 3rd of October last year. When I went to look at the Dreamweaver newsgroup archives at google, I can't get more than one record for October 3rd, 2000 to show at all. So I know something is messed up at the archive. I even searched for Murray who posted at least 10 times a day back then and got zero results for the first week of October 2000. So, looks like the archives are hosed and you'll just have to take my word for it. Happy 2nd Anniversary to me. :-)
