Here's a good example of what happens when a developer sends out a mass email, probably using test data instead of the real date. I "[removed]" the domain name as not to embarass them further. Indeed, I ordered (some headphones) from them 2 years ago.
"Our records indicate that you registered or purchased from our web site www.[removed].com back on 12/31/1969 4:00:00 PM, but we haven't heard from you since then."
First, I was born in 1975. Second, if anyone ever ordered online from them in 1969...well, I think it just goes without saying.
Just sharing this because I found the date to be pretty funny... However, it does remind me that when creating a mass email, one should test, test, test and test some more. Then get some sleep and test even more before the real thing!
